Description
This Strawberry Pretzel Salad features a tasty crust made from crushed pretzels, a creamy cheese layer, and a strawberry gelatin top. Perfect for potlucks, it’s a refreshing treat that combines salty and sweet in each delicious bite, easy to prepare and great for sharing!

- 2 cups small salted pretzels (crushed)
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup salted butter (melted)
- 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 6 oz strawberry flavored gelatin
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 lb fresh strawberries (sliced)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a food processor, pulse the crushed pretzels and brown sugar until combined but still chunky.
- Add the melted butter and pulse a few more times until evenly moistened.
- Press the crust mixture into the bottom of a parchment-lined 8×8 baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla with a hand mixer until smooth.
- Pour the heavy cream into the cream cheese mixture and beat until fully combined. Spread this mixture over the cooled pretzel crust and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- In a medium bowl, mix the strawberry gelatin powder with boiling water until fully dissolved. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes until it thickens.
- Fold in the sliced strawberries into the thickened gelatin. Pour this evenly over the cream cheese layer and chill for 2 to 4 hours until set.
- Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy!
Notes
Make sure to let the crust cool completely before adding the cream cheese layer for best results.
Fresh strawberries can be swapped with other berries for a different flavor profile.
For added crunch, consider garnishing with additional crushed pretzels before serving.
