Description

This Spicy Chimichurri Sauce with Jalapeño delivers an incredible blend of flavors with simple ingredients. It’s perfect for drizzling on grilled meats or using as a dipping sauce, making any meal more exciting and flavorful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 jalapeño, roughly chopped (deseed if you don't want it as spicy)
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup parsley
  • 1 cup cilantro
  • 1 shallot, roughly chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a high-powered blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until you reach your desired consistency, whether chunky or smooth.
  3. If necessary, pause the blender to push down the ingredients and ensure everything combines well.
  4. Taste the chimichurri and adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Let the sauce sit for a few hours for the best flavor.

Notes

For a milder sauce, remove the seeds from the jalapeño.
This sauce keeps well in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Perfect for drizzling over grilled vegetables or meats.
