- 6 oz red gelatin (170g)
- 6 oz blue gelatin (170g)
- boiling water (amount on gelatin box)
- cold water (amount on gelatin box)
- 12 fl. oz heavy whipping cream (350ml)
- 5 fl. oz sweetened condensed milk (150ml)
- whipped cream (to taste)
- Red, white, and blue sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions
- Prepare the red and blue gelatin according to the instructions on the gelatin boxes.
- Pour the prepared gelatin into an 8×8 (20cmx20cm) dish and refrigerate for about 4 hours or until set. Alternatively, use the Quickset method if preferred.
- Once set, cut the gelatin into squares suitable for your cups using a utility knife.
- Carefully lift out the squares with a teaspoon, butter knife, or spatula without breaking them.
- In small cups (8oz or less), alternate layers of gelatin squares while pressing them against the sides for visual effect. Then, pour in about 1.5 tablespoons of cream and repeat until the cups are full.
- Top with whipped cream and sprinkles as desired.
Notes
For a quicker setup, use the Quickset method on the gelatin box if time is short.
Make sure to chill your gelatin long enough for it to fully set before serving.
Adjust the amount of cream according to preference for richness.
