Description

Savor the delightful flavor of homemade Peach Preserves made with fresh peaches, sugar, and zesty lemon. This simple recipe is a great way to enjoy the taste of summer all year round, perfect for spreading on toast or using in desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 peaches, diced into 2” cubes
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • ½ lemon, zest

Instructions

  1. Combine the diced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a large saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a rapid boil, then reduce heat and boil for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Use a wooden spoon to help break down the peaches until the mixture thickens. It’s ready when the peaches stick to the back of a spoon.
  4. Pour the preserves into a large glass jar or smaller jars with sealed lids, and refrigerate. They can be stored for up to 2 months.

Notes

Ensure your jars are properly sterilized for longer shelf life.
Try using this preserve in desserts, on pancakes, or as a sweet spread.
You can adjust the sugar according to your taste preferences.
