Description

This Peach Jam is a must-try for any jam lover! With ripe peaches, a hint of lemon, and just the right amount of sugar, it’s perfect to spread on toast or use in desserts. Enjoy this simple, homemade recipe that brings out the irresistible flavor of fresh peaches.


Ingredients

  • 24 ounces fresh peaches (1 ½ pounds), peeled, pitted, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1.75 ounces sure-jell powdered pectin
  • 3 ½ cups granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel, pit, and dice the peaches and place them in a large pot. Crush the peaches using a potato masher or fork to your desired consistency.
  2. Stir in lemon juice and pectin until well mixed.
  3. Set the pot over medium-high heat and stir constantly while the mixture heats. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add sugar all at once and stir until dissolved completely.
  5. Return the mixture to a full rolling boil and boil for 1 minute, stirring continuously to prevent sticking.
  6. Remove from heat and skim off any foam from the surface.
  7. Pour hot jam into clean mason jars, leaving about ¼ inch space at the top. Wipe rims clean and seal with lids.
  8. Cool jars to room temperature before storing in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Notes

Ensure peaches are ripe for the best flavor.
Store the jam in sterilized jars to prolong shelf life.
This jam can also be used as a topping for pancakes or desserts.
