Description

This Parmesan Crusted Chicken delivers irresistible flavor with minimal effort. Perfectly grilled chicken, topped with a cheesy crust, makes for a quick and delightful dinner option that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of melted butter with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Brush the mixture onto each chicken breast.
  3. Cook the chicken breasts on the grill pan for 3-4 minutes, then flip to cook the other side.
  4. In a medium bowl, mix together ½ cup parmesan cheese and provolone cheese. Set aside.
  5. After flipping, top the chicken with the cheese mixture and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Remove chicken from the grill pan and transfer it to a foil-lined baking sheet.
  7. Preheat the oven’s broiler on high.
  8. In a separate bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs with the remaining ¼ cup parmesan cheese and 2 tablespoons melted butter. Sprinkle over the chicken breasts.
  9. Broil for 1-2 minutes until breadcrumbs are golden and crispy. Watch closely to prevent burning.
  10. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, try adding your favorite herbs like parsley or thyme to the breadcrumb mixture.
Make sure to monitor the broiling process closely, as breadcrumbs can burn quickly.
