- 1 package (13.29 ounces) Oreo cookies
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3 quarts mint chip ice cream, softened
- 1 jar (12 ounces) hot fudge topping, divided
- 1 tub (8 ounces) whipped topping, thawed
- 1/3 cup chopped Andes mints
Instructions
- Crush all of the Oreos in a food processor.
- Reserve 2 tablespoons of the crumbs for later use.
- Combine the crushed Oreos with the melted butter and pulse until mixed.
- Press the mixture into the base of a 9×13-inch pan.
- Scoop half of the softened mint chip ice cream onto the crust and spread to create an even layer.
- Drizzle most of the hot fudge topping over the ice cream, reserving a couple of tablespoons for later.
- Top with the remaining ice cream and smooth the surface.
- Cover with foil and freeze for 6 hours or overnight.
- Spread the thawed whipped topping over the top of the ice cream and add garnishes of hot fudge, crushed Oreos, and chopped Andes mints.
- Serve immediately or return to the freezer until ready to enjoy.
Notes
For an extra minty kick, add more chopped Andes mints or use mint-flavored whipped topping.
Ensure the ice cream is softened for easier spreading.
The dessert can be made a day ahead and stored in the freezer.
