- 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp matcha powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth, then stir in the matcha powder until fully combined. Let it cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and kosher salt.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture, mixing until well combined.
- Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until no streaks remain.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing it out evenly.
- Drizzle the cooled matcha ganache over the top of the batter evenly.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
You can replace white chocolate with dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
Letting the brownies cool completely will make cutting easier and neater.
These brownies can be stored in an airtight container for up to one week.
