Description

These Matcha Brownies are a delightful blend of rich flavors, featuring unsalted butter and luxurious white chocolate. Quick to prepare, they offer a unique twist on a classic dessert, making them perfect for gatherings or a sweet treat at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter and white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth, then stir in the matcha powder until fully combined. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and kosher salt.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until no streaks remain.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing it out evenly.
  7. Drizzle the cooled matcha ganache over the top of the batter evenly.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

You can replace white chocolate with dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
Letting the brownies cool completely will make cutting easier and neater.
These brownies can be stored in an airtight container for up to one week.
