Description

Enjoy the bright and tangy flavor of these Key Lime Pie Bars. With a buttery graham cracker crust and a luscious filling, they are a quick and delicious dessert option that everyone will love.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 tablespoons salted butter
  • 28 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • ¾ cup key lime juice
  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons lime zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C).
  2. Prepare a 9” square baking dish by lining it with parchment paper and lightly greasing it.
  3. In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until well combined.
  4. Press the crust mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish and bake for about 10 minutes until set.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, sour cream, egg yolks, key lime juice, vanilla extract, and lime zest until smooth.
  6. Pour the lime mixture over the baked crust and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until just set.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into squares.

Notes

For best results, use fresh key lime juice instead of bottled.
Let the bars chill overnight for even more flavor.
Feel free to add whipped cream on top for extra decadence.
