Description

This homemade chocolate pudding brings rich, chocolatey delight to your table. Made with simple ingredients like cocoa and sugar, it’s perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoons (12g) corn starch
  • 3 tablespoons (15g) cocoa powder
  • 2 cups (474ml) milk (whole, 2%, or nonfat)
  • ½ cup (85g) chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons (28g) butter, diced
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the granulated sugar, corn starch, and cocoa powder.
  2. Slowly add the milk, whisking continuously until combined.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture begins to thicken and bubble.
  4. Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips, butter, and vanilla. Stir until smooth and fully combined.
  5. Pour the pudding into serving dishes and let cool before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use high-quality cocoa powder.
Chill the pudding for an hour for a more refreshing dessert.
You can top it with whipped cream or fresh fruit if desired.
