Description

These Homemade Artisan Crackers (4 Flavors) are full of flavor, easy to make, and perfect for snacking or pairing with dips. Enjoy a quick, delightful treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour, plus more for kneading and rolling
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • 2/3 cup (160g/ml) water
  • 3 tablespoons (41g/45ml) extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing on top
  • flaky sea salt, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and rosemary. Add water and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms.
  2. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes until smooth. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest for 10 minutes to 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  4. Cut the dough in half, keeping one half covered while working with the other half.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out one half of the dough into a thin rectangle, about 1/16th of an inch.
  6. Cut the rolled dough into small rectangles approximately 3×1.5 inches. Transfer crackers to the baking sheets.
  7. Repeat the rolling and cutting with the second half of the dough.
  8. Using a fork, dock the crackers and brush with olive oil. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top.
  9. Bake for 9-12 minutes until golden brown, rotating the baking sheets halfway through.
  10. Allow the crackers to cool on the baking sheets on a cooling rack before serving.

Notes

For different flavors, try adding spices or seeds to the dough before baking.
These crackers pair wonderfully with dips, cheeses, and spreads.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
