Description

These Grinch Oreos boast an irresistible flavor and simple preparation. Made with light green candy melts and red velvet Oreos, they are a festive treat that’s perfect for holiday gatherings or just to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 ounces light green candy melts
  • 12.2 ounces red velvet Oreos
  • 24 red heart sprinkles
  • 1 tablespoon dark green sanding sugar (optional)

Instructions

  • Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside. Reserve ½ cup of light green candy melt pieces for the final drizzle.
  • Melt the remaining candy melts in a double boiler over low heat, stirring every 30 seconds until fully melted and smooth, or microwave in 30-second intervals.
  • Dip one Red Velvet Oreo cookie into the melted chocolate using a fork. Lift it out and gently tap the fork against the edge of the bowl to remove excess coating.
  • Place the dipped cookie onto the prepared tray and repeat this process with the remaining Oreos.
  • Put the reserved ½ cup of candy melts into a microwave-safe piping bag. Melt on low power, massaging the bag every 60 seconds until smooth.
  • Snip a small piece of the tip off the piping bag and drizzle the chocolate over the dipped Oreos in a zig-zag pattern.
  • Immediately add a red heart sprinkle and optional green sanding sugar to each cookie.
  • Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature or in the fridge before serving.

Notes

Ensure that the candy melts are fully melted for smooth coating.
For a fun twist, try using different colored candy melts or sprinkles.
These cookies can be made ahead of time and stored for several days.
