- 4 full-size corn on the cob (ears) – with or without husk
- ¼ tsp oil (optional, for griddle pan)
- 30 g butter or dairy free alternative (plain/herb/garlic/chilli/dulse)
- seasoning (salt/pepper/herbs/chilli flakes)
Instructions
- Prepare all butters and seasonings ahead of time.
- If corn has husk, peel it back and remove the silk and tassels.
- Preheat the barbecue, grill, or griddle pan to high heat.
- If using a griddle pan, brush it lightly with oil before use.
- Place the corn cobs on the grill or in the pan.
- Turn frequently until the corn turns a deeper yellow and shows charring, about 8-10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately with butter and seasoning.
Notes
Fresh corn gives the best flavor; try to select ears with bright green husks and plump kernels.
Experiment with different butter flavors to find your favorite combination.
