Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Old-Fashioned Oats
  • 1/2 cup Butter, Softened
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 cup Raisins

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Add the old-fashioned oats and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together softened butter, brown sugar, and sugar until smooth. Incorporate the egg and vanilla, mixing until combined and scraping the bowl as needed.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Stir in the raisins.
  4. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Once chilled, scoop 1 1/2 tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For chewier cookies, do not overmix the dough once the dry ingredients are added.
You can substitute half the raisins with chocolate chips for a delicious twist.
