  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts to about ½ to ¾ inch thickness if they are thick or slice large breasts in half horizontally.
  2. Season the chicken on both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Place flour in a shallow bowl and dredge the chicken lightly, shaking off excess flour.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown but not fully cooked. Transfer to a plate and set aside.

Notes

Ensure even cooking by pounding or slicing the chicken.
Feel free to substitute heavy cream with milk for a lighter version.
Top with fresh parsley for added flavor and presentation.
