- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup quick oats
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- 4 cups fresh blueberries
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9 x 9 pan with non-stick spray.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine blueberries, sugar, flour, lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and water until the mixture thickens.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crisp topping ingredients: flour, brown sugar, quick oats, and cubed butter. Use a pastry cutter or fork to blend until crumbly, then sprinkle over the blueberry mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Notes
For a sweeter dish, add a little more sugar to the blueberry mixture.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delightful treat.
