- ½ teaspoon black pepper

- 1 cup cherry cola
- ¾ cup barbecue sauce
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
Instructions
- Season the drumsticks with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the drumsticks until browned on all sides.
- Transfer the drumsticks to the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together cherry cola, barbecue sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and cornstarch until well combined.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken drumsticks in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours until chicken is very tender.
- During the last 30 minutes of cooking, remove the lid to thicken the sauce.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider marinating the drumsticks in the seasoning overnight.
