Ingredients
Scale
- 12 Frozen Dinner Rolls
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- ½ cup butter melted
- ⅓ cup Parmesan Cheese
- Mozzarella Cheese block cut into ½ inch pieces
Instructions
- Place frozen dinner rolls in a greased cast-iron skillet or baking dish. Cover with another pan and let rise for 1 hour at room temperature.
- While the rolls are rising, cut the mozzarella block into ½-inch cubes, needing a total of 12 cubes.
- Stretch each roll around a mozzarella cube and pinch the seams shut. Return the stuffed rolls to the skillet seam-side down.
- Cover the rolls and let them rise for 2 to 3 hours until they double in size and feel soft when gently pressed.
- Mix melted butter and granulated garlic; brush half over the rolls, saving the other half for later use.
- Sprinkle ⅓ cup of Parmesan cheese over the tops of the rolls right before baking.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F, ideally at the end of the second rise. Bake for 20 minutes until tops are golden brown.
- Remove from oven and brush the remaining garlic butter over the hot rolls to soak into the crust.
Notes
Make sure to let the rolls rise adequately for the best texture.
Using fresh, good-quality cheese enhances the flavor of the rolls.
The timing of adding parmesan right before baking ensures it stays crisp.
