Description

This Caramel Apple Bundt Cake features a delightful combination of fresh apples and a rich caramel glaze, making it an irresistible treat for any occasion. With simple preparation and a wonderfully moist texture, this cake is perfect for gatherings or a cozy dessert at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • ½ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 6 tablespoons milk divided
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Grease and flour a bundt pan or use baking spray. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Add softened butter and beat until crumbly. Mix in eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and milk, beating for 3-4 minutes until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
  3. In another bowl, mix diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon. Fold this into the cake batter.
  4. Pour the cake mixture into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 55-60 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before flipping onto a cake plate to cool completely.
  5. For the glaze, combine brown sugar, butter, and 4 tablespoons of milk in a saucepan. Heat over medium until boiling, stirring constantly for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let it cool for 15 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, whisk the cooled sugar mixture with powdered sugar and the remaining 2 tablespoons of milk until smooth. Pour over the cooled cake and let it set for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Feel free to use any type of apples you like, such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
For added flavor, you can sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the glaze before it sets.
