- 1 1/2 cups salted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 4 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350℉ and line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
- Scrape down the sides of the bowl then mix in the flour.
- Press about 2/3 of the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- Combine the sugar and cornstarch. Add the blueberries and mix well.
- Spoon the blueberry mixture over the baked bottom crust and spread evenly.
- Top with the remaining crumb mixture.
- Bake for another 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
- For the icing, whisk together the powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of milk. Adjust with more milk to achieve a drizzling consistency.
- Drizzle the icing over the cooled bars and enjoy.
Notes
Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor and texture.
Make sure to let the bars cool completely before drizzling with icing.
Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature.
