Description

These Apple Cheesecake Bars combine a smooth cream cheese filling with the sweetness of apples and a crunchy streusel topping. Ideal for gatherings or a sweet treat at home, this simple recipe will satisfy your dessert cravings in no time!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, cubed, cold
  • 12 oz cream cheese, softened (1 & 1/2 packages)
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 & 1/2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups peeled, cored, and diced apples (about 2 medium-sized apples)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened (1 stick)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a bowl, combine cold cubed butter, brown sugar, salt, flour, oats, and cinnamon. Mix with hands or a pastry cutter until it forms small clumps. Refrigerate this mixture for later use.

Notes

For a sweeter touch, sprinkle some extra brown sugar over the top before baking.
Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for a more complex flavor.
You can substitute the heavy cream with milk for a lighter filling.
