Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound salmon, (4) 4-ounce filets
- 2 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped; for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Pat the salmon dry, then apply about 1/2 teaspoon of spicy brown mustard to each filet using a pastry brush. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the filets, then let them rest for about 10 minutes.
- Place the salmon filets in the preheated air fryer, ensuring there is about an inch of space between each. If needed, cook them in batches. Cook for 6-8 minutes or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 135 degrees F.
- Remove the cooked salmon from the air fryer and place on a plate, covering with foil while cooking remaining filets. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
For a spicier kick, consider adding more spicy brown mustard or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the spice mix.
Ensure salmon is fresh and at room temperature for best cooking results.
Customize your garnish with different herbs like dill or chives.
